Can tell a lot of time went into this, very interesting composition, the initial beat is big would of loved it to be a little louder. Feel like the higher frequencies have been neglected a little bit but that's just a matter of taste, keep working at it mate, you have all the time in the world to improve.

Have a look into Future Music Magazine and FACT magazine on YouTube, lots of good videos up on there that'll take your productions to the next level.

Tarenlee responds:

Thank you for your enjoy. =D

Decent for an unfinished track, really liked the percussive elements.

You'll be able to take certain aspects of this and carry them into future projects, keep working hard.

Really enjoyed this one, the guitar adds so much. You recording in the guitar yourself?

I'm looking into getting a decent mic for home recording but don't know where to start.

SineRider responds:

Yeah it's my acoustic guitar. I don't have a dedicated microphone at the moment so I use my Zoom H2n field recorder and record through USB. There are a lot of different mics you can get, each with it's own characteristic. I'd recommend pretty much any condenser mic. Keep in mind you don't need to spring for an expensive mic!

You've created a really nice atmosphere with this one.

P.S Good shout on the vinyl crackle effect warms it up in a nice way.

As if you're still producing on here, top effort man.
Along with ejay, punk-o-matic kick started my favorite hobby.

Cheers for helping me along my creative journey and keep making killer tunes man!

Not sure what you mean by "As if you're still producing on here", maybe PM me to tell me what you meant
Glad my stuff could help you with anything :)

Sounds very psytrancey. I have a mate who produces under 'False Identity' that does this sort of stuff.

His soundcloud is: https://soundcloud.com/oldtoby

You might be able to pull some inspiration from his work for future projects.

bdog705 responds:

gave him a listen and yea its actually inspiring for some ideas i have
thanks m8!

Props to the Bonobo love he is a genius of a producer, take a lot of inspiration from him myself.

JoelTownsend responds:

Everyone seems to be influenced by Bonobo nowadays. My personal favourite post-Bonobo musician is Foreign Skin, I swear to God while she was playing this tune the first time I saw her live, https://soundcloud.com/foreignskinmusic/draper-feat-isabel-higuero-electricity-foreign-skin-remix, I felt like music was finished and I almost cried.

This was very glitchy for Hip Hop and in no way is that a bad thing. Very odd but incredibly interesting in its design.

P.S That intro has some serious Bonobo vibes. Which means whatever you're doing, you're doing it right, keep up the good work.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Thanks! Yeah, was listening to a lot of FlyLo and Eprom at the time, so I guess that was cropping up somewhere. The Bonobo comparison is surprising. I only heard his older (~2005) stuff, with the vibraphones and chill jazz samples, so I don't know what he sounds like now; I'll check it out...

I can picture Bowser going mental in front of his DAW to this track. Exporting it and setting it up on his tannoy system ready for when Mario enters the castle. Good job!

Can definitely imagine touching down on a new planet in Starbound with this one. Keep up the good work.

I produce music under 'Alias Here' formerly 'Pomp Yin', make videos and work on video games.
